The structure, with a staggering volume of 13.75 m³ (485 ft³ and 996 in³), is a seamless masterpiece that integrates an Entrance Area, a Cave, and wall facades, spanning approximately 100 sqm. Rising to an impressive height of 8.6m and measuring 15.73m in length and 6.78m in width, this groundbreaking project redefines the boundaries of design, precision, and construction.
The sheer scale of this project pushed the limits of 3D printing technology and traditional construction methods. Key figures include:
To meet the project’s demands, Proto21 utilized a combination of FDM, SLA, and LfAM technologies, running a 3D printing farm equipped with Prusas, Bambu Labs, KINGs SLA machines, and CARACOL Heron LfAM robotic arms. The unprecedented demand for materials even led suppliers to temporarily pause other orders to support this monumental endeavor.
MYATA Platinum Restaurant is more than just a dining destination—it’s an immersive journey into the fluid, ever-changing topography of sand canyons. The restaurant features 23 large, canyon-like 3D printed structures that form its interior and exterior facades, VIP rooms, counters, planters, and more. Each structure is meticulously designed to mimic the natural beauty of rock formations, with sand-texture finishes that blend cutting-edge technology with organic aesthetics. Using Blender, Proto21’s 3D designers manually applied unique sedimentary designs to every plane of the architectural layout, ensuring no two pieces were alike.
