A 13 meter long, 3D printed flowing sculptural form dressed with traditional Emirati crafts, this installation captures the attention of visitors as they approach the MENASA design space at the heart of the Expo 2020 Dubai site.

Flowing Crafts is a window installation designed by architect Carmello Zappulla and fashion designer Rami Al Ali, in collaboration with Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts, for MENASA – Emirati Design Platform. Inspired by nature, the Italian architect utilized advanced 3D printing technology to create an eye-catching, dynamic form of interweaving lines that evokes the power of both natural forces and technological innovation.

This project represents a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, showcasing Proto21’s ability to tackle large scale, complex 3D printing challenges. The flowing form, combined with intricate Emirati craftsmanship, stands as a testament to Proto21’s expertise in delivering innovative, high impact installations that leave a lasting impression.
